Mr. Varun Issar, learned counsel for the Union of India, fairly points out at the outset, for the matter in issue is squarely covered by the judgment rendered in the case of Union of India through Secretary v. Piara Singh [RFA No. 1266 of 1996, dated 17.11.2008] and connected matters, vide which this Court had dismissed the appeals preferred by the appellant - Union of India against the award made by the Reference Court as also the cross-objections preferred by the land-owners seeking further enhancement, these appeals too shall have to be dismissed. Ordered accordingly.
