**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) By this petition, the petitioner seeks release of detenues, namely, Daljeet Singh and Gurpreet Kaur detained by respondent No. 3. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurmit Singh, Police Station Urban Estate, Patiala, who is present in the Court submits that neither Daljeet Singh nor Gurpreet Kaur are having detained by police in connection with any FIR in this police station.

Given above, the present petition is not maintainable in view of the specific statement by the concerned official. The present petition cannot be enforced and it is disposed of with liberty to file a fresh petition in case, petitioner comes to know about the whereabouts/place and person detained.

Needless to say that it shall be open for the petitioner to file a missing person report about these two detenues in the nearest police station and once such report is filed, this Court expects that this matter will be looked into by the senior officer.
