This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing FIR No.152 dated October 8, 2004 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 304-A, 279, 337, 338 IPC, registered at Police Station, Sadar Pathankot, AVIN KUMAR 2016.01.13 10:29 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh
Crl. Misc. No.M-25035 of 2014 [2] alongwith all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-3/T).
2.
In compliance of order dated October 7, 2014, report of Sessions Judge, Pathankot has been received to the effect that the parties have made an amicable settlement and have recorded their statements without any fear or pressure. Even otherwise, matter involved is personal in nature which has been amicable put at rest. 3.
In view of the above, I am of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of process of law and present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them.
4.
Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and FIR No.152 dated October 8, 2004 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 304-A, 279, 337, 338 IPC, registered at Police Station, Sadar Pathankot, alongwith all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
