Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.28 dated 14.02.2017 under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Dharamkot, District Moga.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that as per the FIR which was got registered by Sarabjeet Singh, he was cheated for `10 lakhs by the petitioner and co-accused, as the complainant wanted to send her son and daughter-inlaw to the foreign country. It is in the FIR that on 16.08.2016, present petitioner along with co-accused came to complainant's house and stated that present petitioner is an employee in Embassy, due to which, VISA will Vineet Gulati 2017.07.19 12:05 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh come soon. It is also stated that accused demanded `10 lakhs from

CRM No.M-25016 of 2017 -2complainant and he handed over `10 lakhs to accused. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the fact that specific role has been attributed to the present petitioner, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
