(Oral) Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents No.1 to 5 to take appropriate legal action against respondents No.6 & 7 for illegally occupying the panchayat land on the basis of the complaints submitted by the petitioner and other residents of village Basti Keran wala @ Chak Tahli Wala, Tehsil Jalalabad, District Fazilka.

At this stage, Mr. Harpreet Singh, AAG, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondents-State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him and on instructions from Sh. Jagsimran Singh, BDPO, Jalalabad, submits that no representation has been submitted by the petitioner.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedies before the concerned department after submitting a detailed representation in that regard and/or to ANKIT 2026.03.16 18:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh
