TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA , J. (Oral) The petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking a direction to respondents no.2 to 5 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members from the constant threats being given by respondent no.6 who is sitting MLA of Sangrur.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, from Assistant SubInspector Davinder Dass, contends that the petitioner's complaint/representation dated 03.03.2025, Annexure P-1, has been considered and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising of SP (PBI), DSP (D) and DSP (Special Branch) Sangrur, has been constituted to enquire into the matter. An appropriate action will soon be taken depending upon the requirement.

In view of the statement made by the learned State counsel, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.4/Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, to take prompt action in the matter. 4.
