(Oral) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for quashing of DDR No. 18, dated 23.6.2010, for the offence punishable under Section 323 read with Section 34, IPC, recorded in Police Station, Lambi, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, in relation to FIR No. 80, dated 23.6.2010, Police Station, Lambi, and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise.

Learned counsel for the State has pointed out that the offence punishable under Section 323, IPC, is compoundable as per the provisions contained in Section 320 Cr.P.C. and, as such, the affected parties may move an application before learned Trial Court for compounding of the offence.
