CHANDIGARH CWP-7928-2019 (O & M) Date of decision: 22.05.2019 Dr. Anuradha .... Petitioner(s) V/s State of Punjab and ors.

...Respondent(s)

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA

Present:

Mr. Girish Agnihotri, Sr. Advocate, with Mr. Arvind Seth, Advocate, for the petitioner. Ms. Ambika Bedi, A.A.G., Punjab.

***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner, who is working as a Lecturer in Anatomy in Government Medical College, Amritsar, has a grievance that similarly placed Doctors have been re-designated as Assistant Professors. During the course of arguments, learned counsel has limited his prayer only for consideration for re-designation without insisting on the arrears of pay, etc. for which he would represent separately. According to the petitioner, the exercise of re-designation has been carried out in other cases as enumerated in the list, Annexure P-6. A query has been put to learned State counsel whether the case of the petition can also be considered. She finds no difficulty in this. She submits that the competent authority shall consider the matter within two weeks and pass a speaking order. In case, any adverse decision is taken, same shall be conveyed to the petitioner forthwith. SUKHPREET KAUR 2019.06.04 13:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
