This petition has been filed under Sections 10 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondent for willful and deliberate disobedience of order dated 12.12.2024, Annexure P-1, passed by this Court in CRM-M-57178-2024. 2.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the respondent. 3.

Upon instructions, State counsel apprises the Court that the respondent is no longer holding the post of Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, and in his place Mr. Swapan Sharma, IPS, has been posted. 4.

In view of this development, counsel for the petitioners seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the instant contempt petition with liberty to file a fresh one.
