In the present case, on 14.08.2024, following order was passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court:- "

The prayer in the petition under Section 482 Cr.PC is for quashing of the case FIR No.294 dated 18.11.2008 under Sections 447, 427,511, 148, 149 IPC and Section 25, 27, 54, 59 of Arms Act P.S. Sadar, Khanna, District Ludhiana as well as impugned order dated 17.07.2023 passed by JMIC, Khanna whereby the petitioner was declared as proclaimed offender.

At the very outset the counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press his prayer with regard to the quashing of the FIR but only with respect to the order dated 17.07.2023 whereby he has been declared a proclaimed offender.

The Counsel for the petitioner contends that the father of the petitioner Raghbir Singh faced trial and was convicted vide judgment dated 3.6.2014. However, the petitioner initially was facing the Trial but subsequently went to Germany. He states that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the proceedings.

Adjourned to 26.09.2024.
