Ms. Simsi Dhir Malhotra, Addl. P.P. UT Chandigarh. -.- KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail in case having FIR No.24 dated 5.2.2022 registered under Sections 406, 420, 120-B IPC at Police Station 17, Chandigarh.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner who is a senior citizen has joined investigation with the police and also deposited amount of `10 lacs with the concerned bank in compliance of earlier order dated 20.5.2022 passed by this Court.

( 2 ) CRM-M-18942-2022 The Additional P.P. UT Chandigarh on instructions from SI Shiv Charan has not refuted the aforesaid assertions made by counsel for the petitioner and further deposit of `10 lacs with the concerned Bank. The Additional PP, UT Chandigarh further submits that the petitioner is not required by police for further investigation or for custodial interrogation, AS the case is based on documentary evidence only. In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is hereby allowed and order dated 20.5.2022 is hereby made absolute. The petitioner should abide by the conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
