Petitioner-Akash Sharma has approached this Court seeking quashing of FIR No.278, dated 06.09.2020, Police Station Division No.6, Jalandhar, under Sections 406, 420 IPC and Section 13 of Punjab Travel Professional Act (Regulation), 2014, and all subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of a compromise having been effected between the parties.

Respondent No.2-Mr. Rafi Singh, complainant is present in person. Upon being asked by this Court, respondent No.2 stated that as per the settlement an amount of Rs.7 lakhs is still to be paid to him by the petitoner and that in case the aforesaid Rs.7 lakhs is paid to him, he MOHAN SINGH 2024.09.24 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh
CRM-M-15639-2024 (O&M) - 2 - would have nothing outstanding against the petitioner and he would not have any objection in case the FIR is quashed. 3.
Mr. G.S.Rawat, Advocate, counsel for petitioner has today handed over a draft bearing No.023752, dated 21.09.2024 of Axis Bank Ltd. favouring complainant to the complainant. A copy of draft has been supplied and the same is taken on record.
