***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J . (Oral) Petitioners namely Jili Kalita and Hari Kumar Paswan had approached this Court seeking issuance of directions for protecting their lives as they apprehended threat to the same having married agianst the wishes of their parents/relatives.
On the last date of hearing the following order was passed: "Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only at this stage.
Mr. Amit Mehta, Senior DAG, Punjab , appearing on advance notice accepts the same and seeks time to have instructions.

CRWP-3534-2022 (O&M) - 2 - In the meantime, the police officials not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police should record the statements of the petitioners.
In case a request is made by the petitioners, they may be provided shelter in safe house till the next date."
Learned State counsel has today furnished photocopies of the statements of the petitioners, duly attested by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kharar, wherein the petitioners have stated that as of now they do not apprehend any threat to their lives or liberty and do not require any kind of protection.
In view of the aforestated position, the petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
