******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.91 dated 06.03.2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 193, 196, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with Section 120-B of Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Daba, Ludhiana. Heard.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh submits that petitioner has joined the investigation, which is still in progress.

Learned counsel for the complainant submits that to avoid his ejectment, petitioner has forged the agreement dated 15.07.2014 by forging SACHIN MEHTA 2018.08.28 17:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

CRM-M-26370-2018 -2the signatures of complainant. Report to this effect has also been received by the police from Forensic Science Laboratory. On inquiry, learned State counsel submits that as per report of Forensic Science Laboratory, the agreement propounded by the petitioner is a forged document.

In view of the report of Forensic Science Laboratory, custodial interrogation of the petitioner will be required by the police to inquire about the procurement of the stamp papers and witnesses, who signed the agreement.

Keeping in view the above facts and circumstance and conduct of the petitioner, I do not find any reason to exercise the discretionary power of this Court to extend the benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This petition has no merits. Dismissed.
