This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.7 dated 24.07.2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC, registered at Police Station NRI Sangrur as well as subsequent proceedings arising therefrom. Learned counsel for the petitioner and respondent No.2 inform that the matter has been amicably resolved between the parties. Respondent No.2 and her husband have agreed to part ways. A sum of `15,00,000/- shall be handed over to respondent No.2 as full and final settlement of all her claims - past, present and future towards alimony, maintenance etc. It is further informed that the total settled amount of `15,00,000/- has already been deposited with the Omkar Singh 2018.05.25 10:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh
CRM No.M-25450 of 2017 -2Mediator, namely, Mr. Pargat Singh son of Sh. Surjit Singh, resident of village Saron, District Sangrur by way of two demand drafts of `7,50,000/- each. One demand draft has been handed over to respondent No.2 at the time of recording of statements at first motion in petition under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 filed by respondent No.2 and her husband. The other demand draft shall be handed over to respondent No.2 at the time of recording of statements of the parties at second motion in the abovesaid proceedings as well as withdrawal/quashing of all other litigations which are pending between the parties.
In this view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw this petition with liberty to file afresh alongwith the other co-accused for quashing of the abovementioned FIR on the basis of compromise. Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as aforesaid. ( LISA GILL ) May 22 , 2018.
