***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) The instant application has been filed on behalf of the applicantState of Punjab seeking review of order dated 13.10.2023 passed by this Court in CWP-23326-2023.

Learned counsel representing the applicant submitted that although order dated 13.10.2023 has been complied with and a speaking order has been passed and the arrears have already been released, but the interest has not been paid. Learned counsel submitted that payment of interest was not specifically ordered by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in its judgment rendered in Bahadur Singh and others Vs. Jaspreet Kaur Talwar and others, Special Leave Petition (Civil) No.25389 of 2011, decided on 16.8.2022 and, as such, the non-applicant/petitioner is not entitled for the same. RA-CW-119-2025 in CWP-23326-2023 ( 2 ) by this Court in CWP-23326-2023. The petitioner who remained deprived of the minimum pay-scale for no fault on his part certainly deserved to be compensated. Interest, as ordered to be paid @5% per annum is not on the higher side so as to warrant exercise jurisdiction as regards review. The instant application, as such, is dismissed.
