ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Learned State Counsel submits that at the time of filing of the petition, due to the pandemic conditions, concerned court of Financial Commissioner, Punjab was not being held. However, during the interregnum of issuance of notice herein, the said court has become functional. She submits that the matter can now be taken up by the said Court for its disposal, in accordance with law.
In the premise, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate revision petition under Section 16 of the Punjab Revenue Act, 1887. During the pendency of the writ petition, vide orders dated 01.06.2020 read with 14.08.2020, operation of the impugned order dated 14.05.2020 was since stayed, therefore, in the interest of justice and SONU 2020.09.25 06:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
equity, the said interim stay shall continue for further period of four weeks from today. Once the petitioner files his revision, the learned Financial Commissioner shall thereafter be at liberty to pass appropriate further order qua continuation/vacation of the stay order, after hearing the parties concerned.
