AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of direction to official respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.4 & 5.

Petitioner No.1 is stated to be 17 years 07 months, whereas petitioner No.2 is a major. They are stated to have solemnized marriage on 19.06.2018 which is against the wishes of their parents. Factum of marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs (Annexure P-3). Petitioners have an apprehension at the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5 and in this regard, they have submitted a representation dated 19.06.2018 (Annexure P-4) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur - respondent No.2, but no action has been taken so far.
