Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail in FIR No.98 dated 06.04.2014, under Sections 498A/34 IPC, registered at police station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

It is contended that petition under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act has been allowed on 06.05.2014. Petitioner has also filed a petition under Section 25 of the Guardian and Wards Act and Section 6 of the Hindu Minority and Guardanship Act for custody of their minor daughter. CRM No.M-25630 of 2014 [2] lodged as a counter-blast. Petitioner has joined investigation pursuant to order dated 31.07.2014 and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from Parmatma Singh, submits that the petitioner has indeed joined investigation and he is no longer required for custodial interrogation. It is informed that a cancellation report in this case has been prepared and approved on 18.12.2014. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case but without commenting or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, order dated 31.07.2014 is made absolute.

Petition is allowed.
