IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-26601 of 2018 Date of Decision: 02.07.2018 Uttam Singh ....Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. V.K. Sandhir, Advocate, for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for direction to the respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), District Tarn Taran, is directed to look into representation dated 14.06.2018 (Annexure P-4) moved by the petitioner, in a time-bound manner.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), District Tarn Taran, to look into the grievance of the petitioner detailed in the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2018 (Annexure P-4) after hearing the petitioner by passing a speaking order within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and, if needed, to do the needful.
