None has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent. On 20.12.2023 learned counsel for the respondent had informed the Court that the respondent-firm had closed down long ago and nothing survives in the matter. The suit in the present case was for permanent injunction which was filed by the respondent-firm against the appellants herein restraining them from disconnecting the electricity connection of the plaintiff-firm. The suit was dismissed by the Trial Court. Aggrieved by the same, an appeal was preferred by the plaintiff-respondent and the same was allowed by judgment and decree dated 31.10.1996. Aggrieved by the same, the present appeal was filed.

As noted earlier, the respondent-firm has closed down. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the appellants has placed on record letter issued by the office of Sub Divisional Officer Operation, Sub-Division DINESH BANSAL 2024.02.13 10:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

RSA-1413-1997 (O&M) -22024:PHHC:018864 UHBVN Cheeka stating therein that the electricity connection was disconnected due to the outstanding amount of Rs.2,66,446/-. 3.

In view of the fact that firm has since closed down and the electricity connection already stands disconnected, learned counsel for the appellants states that the present appeal be disposed as having been not pressed with liberty to take recourse to remedies as available under the law. 4.

In view thereof, the present appeal is disposed of as having been not pressed with the liberty aforesaid. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
