CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANOOP CHITKARA Present:- Mr. Ram Bilas Gupta, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Manish Bansal, DAG, Haryana.

**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (Oral) Seeking extension of parole by two months, the petitioner has come up before this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parole granted to the petitioner be extended by two months as the petitioner is to be operated upon. However, learned State counsel submits that the medical condition of the petitioner would be taken care of by the jail authorities as per rules. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the precarious health condition of the petitioner, he be given some time to surrender. The prayer is not opposed by learned State counsel. Given above, the petitioner is directed to surrender on 9.5.2022 by 5-00 p.m. and in case the petitioner surrenders on that date and time, his parole shall be deemed to have been extended automatically till then. However, in case the petitioner fails to surrender as per the given date and time, his parole shall be deemed to have expired today itself.

However, in case the petitioner is operated upon prior to the aforesaid date, then he may approach the concerned Jail Superintendent for extension of parole and it will be open for the Jail Superintendent to grant furlough or parole as per rules.
