IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH RSA No. 1448 of 1996 (O&M) DATE OF DECISION :- 22.12.2025 Municipal Committee Bathinda ...Appellant

Versus

Ramesh Chand and others

...Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present:- None for the appellant.

Mr. Deepak Kohli, Advocate for Mr. Kashish Garg, Advocate for respondent.

*** VIRINDER AGGARWAL , J. (Oral) 1.

None is present on behalf of the appellant. On the previous date counsel for the respondents has submitted that house tax outstanding against the respondents has already been paid under 'One Time Settlement' scheme and the receipt was placed on record and appellant sought time to verify the same from Municipal Corporation, Bathinda but today none has appeared on behalf of the appellant. It seems that appellantMunicipal Corporation, Bathinda is not interested in pursuing the instant appeal in view of the settlement with the respondent.

2.

In view of the above and given the prevailing circumstances, there seems to be no justification to keep the appeal on the docket, indefinitely. Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed for want of prosecution. 3.

Since the main appeal stands decided, the miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly.
