***** AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. (ORAL) Vide this petition, the petitioner seeks the concession of 'regular bail' under the provisions of Section 439 of the Cr.P.C., upon FIR no.90, dated 25.06.2019, having been registered at Police Station Nakodar, District Jalandhar, alleging therein the commission of an offence punishable under Section 22 of the NDPS Act, 1985.

The petitioner had been admitted to interim bail vide an order passed on 28.07.2021, essentially in view of the ongoing pandemic. Though today learned counsel for the petitioner is not present, learned State counsel submits, on instructions from ASI Manjeet Singh, that in fact this petition has been rendered infructuous, with the petitioner having been convicted for the commission of the offence that he was charged with.
