IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH RSA No. 1591 of 1996 (O&M) DATE OF DECISION :- 18.11.2025 Food Corporation of India and another ...Appellants

Versus

M/s Bansi Ram Maghi Ram

...Respondent

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIRINDER AGGARWAL Present:- Mr. Ish Puneet Singh, Advocate for the appellants. *** VIRINDER AGGARWAL , J. (Oral) 1.

The order dated 27.11.2024 has not been complied with by the appellants. Learned counsel for the appellants submitted that they could not trace any connection of the respondent Firm as well as LRs of the partner of the Firm in spite of forming a search committee, so it is not possible to comply with the order dated 27.11.2024. In the absence of notice to the respondent or bringing on record the LRs of the partner as it is reported that Firm has since closed, the appeal cannot be proceeded further.

2.

In view of the above and given the prevailing circumstances, there seems to be no justification to keep the appeal on the docket, indefinitely. Accordingly, the instant appeal stands dismissed with liberty to the appellants to revive the same, in case if somebody raises claim on the basis of decree, within a period of three months from today.

3.

Since the main appeal stands decided, the miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand disposed of accordingly.
