Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that name of petitioner was recorded in list 'F' on 23.12.2011 and she was extended rank of Inspector under Rule 13.21 of Punjab Police Rules, 1934. The Inspectors are promoted to the post of DSP on completion of 06 years service. The petitioner was recommended for promotion, however, Departmental Promotional Committee has ignored her and vide order dated 13.02.2024, promoted her juniors. She has filed appeal-cum-representation dated 16.02.2024 (Annexure P-6) before Chief Secretary, Department of Home Affairs and Justice. The aggrieved persons have filed LPA before Division Bench of this Court against judgment dated 07.08.2023 passed by a Single Judge in CWP No.10873 of 2012. The petitioner was neither party to CWP No.10873 of 2012 nor she has filed any other petition.

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submits that representation dated 16.02.2024 (Annexure P-6) of the petitioner is pending before competent authority. 4.

Faced with this, Mr.R.K.Arora, Advocate submits that grievance of the petitioner, at this stage, would be redressed if respondents are directed to decide her representation in a time bound manner. 5.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of. The needful shall be within 6 weeks from today.
