Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered against her under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, for having been found in possession of 1 Kg. 100 grams of Ganja. The aforesaid quantity would fall under the category of non-commercial category. The learned State counsel has informed that challan has already been presented.

Applicant has been behind bar since the last about two months. The trial, in its normal course, is not likely to be immediately concluded. Further detention of the applicant would not serve any useful purpose. As such, the applicant is ordered to be released on bail subject to her furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Kurukshetra.
