The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.15 dated 31.1.2021 at Police Station Basti Bawa Khel, District Jalandhar under Sections 307, 120-B, 148 and 149 of Indian Penal Code.

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Ajay Pal Singh, has today informed that during the course of investigation the petitioner has been found to be innocent and is not required for any custodial interrogation. 3.

In view of the aforestated position, the present petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 23.4.2021 are hereby PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.07.27 19:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-17213-2021 (O&M) made absolute, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.

Needless to mention, in case at a later stage any evidence is found against the petitioner, it shall be open to the prosecution to proceed against the petitioner.
