This petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of BPEO (Block Primary Education Officer) from the date when the vacancy in that cadre was available.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition to enable him to serve a supplementary legal notice giving certain further details which may be directed to be decided in a time bound manner, though there was a previous legal notice dated 18.01.2023 (Annexure P5) which has been served upon the respondents.

Dismissed as withdrawn.

However, in case, the petitioner serves a legal notice within a period of 4 weeks, the same be decided by the respondents within a period of 4 months thereafter.
