Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner seeking her protection on the ground that she is 27 years of age and respondents No. 6 to 10 want to perform her marriage against her wishes. Her father already died and her maternal uncles are compelling her to perform marriage against her wishes. She has moved an application dated 18.7.2017 (Annexure P3), in this regard, to the police, but the same remained unattended till now.
Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and perusal of record, respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar City, is directed to look into the application dated 18.7.2017 (Annexure P3) and take required action, if any, as per law. With the aforesaid observations made and directions issued, the present petition stands disposed of.
