M.M.S.BEDI,J.
Quashing of FIR has been sought on the basis of compromise, which was registered u/s 306/34 IPC on 7.7.2016 at P.S. Tarsikka, District Amritsar, at the instance of Ranjit Kaur alleging that her brother Gurdeep Singh had committed suicide on account of abetment caused by his wife Seema.
Counsel for the complainant Mr. Shiv Charan Bhola, Advocate has sought permission to appear in the court to submit that the matter has been compromised.
I have considered the facts and circumstances of the case. The FIR was registered only on 7.7.2016. The investigation is still under progress. It will always be open to the complainant to appear before the investigating officer and offer her supplementary statement and the statements of other witnesses. It will always be open to the investigating officer, on the basis of the supplementary statements, to opt not to present challan and present cancellation report, which may ultimately be accepted by the Illaqa Magistrate, by issuing notice to the complainant, in accordance with law.
Disposed of, at this stage, with the above observations. August 5 ,2016 ( M.M.S.BEDI ) TSM JUDGE Whether speaking/ reasoned Yes/ No Whether reportable Yes/ No
