The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction against the private respondents not to harass or interfere in the peaceful lives of the petitioners and seeking police protection as they are apprehending danger to their lives and personal liberty. The petitioners are stated to be major and have married against the wishes of their parents. Petitioner No.1 has annexed photocopy of ration card issued on 6.2.2006 (Annexure P-3) where his age has been shown to be 14 years and, therefore, he is major. Similarly, petitioner No.2 has furnished her affidavit (Annexure P-5), wherein her date of birth is mentioned as 10.11.1995. Certificate of Marriage issued by Gurudwara Sahib Tap Asthan Baba Mangal Singh Ji Nihang Singh Wala, Kapurthala (Annexure P-1), showing that the marriage was solemnized on VIJAY ASIJA 2015.01.02 16:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Crl. Misc. No. M-26 of 2015 -229.12.2014, is also attached. The petitioners have also moved a representation dated 2.1.2015 (Annexure P-6) addressed to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala seeking protection of their lives and personal liberty.

Without going into the controversy and merits of the case including the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take action as warranted by law on the representation moved by the petitioners dated 02.01.2015 (Annexure P-6). Respondent No.2 is further directed to ensure that no harm is caused to the life and personal liberty of the petitioners at the hands of the private respondents.

With the abovesaid direction, the present petition is disposed of.
