State counsel submits that the challenge in the instant writ petition is to be appointments of Law Officers made to the office of Advocate General, Punjab in the year 2017. He submits that by efflux of time, the tenure of appointment is over and the petition has become infructuous. 2.

Explanations given by Sh. R.L. Mittal and Sh. Chetan Mittal are accepted and the Contempt is discharged.

In view of the above development, petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
