The present Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to the respondents to consider and grant the petitioner appointment as Teaching Fellow (ETT). 2.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is seeking appointment to the aforesaid post under SC(R) category pursuant to the advertisement dated 05.09.2007, being higher in merit, at 51.770, than the last selected candidate at 50.65. He was intimated by the office of Director of Public Instructions (E.E), Punjab vide Memo No. 162640-3/166-2012ESBT-2(X1)/404 dated 29.08.2019 (Annexure P-18) that his case cannot be considered pending CWP-10670-2010, Liaqat Ali and others vs. The State of Punjab and others, which has been allowed on 27.01.2020. He thus prays that a direction be given to the respondents to decide his case, in a time bound manner.
