The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release pending dues with respect to work carried out by him. He is further seeking direction to respondent to decide his representation dated 10.11.2025.

The petitioner is claiming that he has completed work of installation of functional household tap connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission in villages falling under the jurisdiction of District Mohindergarh, along with work of dismantling and relaying of 800 mm i/d D.I. clear water rising main at existing Canal Based Water Works Lehroda. He preferred representation dated 10.11.2025 seeking release of his pending payment but to no avail.

Learned State counsel submits that work carried out by petitioner was sponsored by Central Government under Jal Jeevan DEEPAK BISSYAN 2026.03.24 16:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-7454-2026 -2Mission Scheme. The State Government was Nodal Agency. The Scheme has been discontinued and State is attempting to finalize head under which payment would be released to all the contractors. There is possibility of resolution of the matter within six months from today. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills.

In the wake of statement of State counsel, the petition stands disposed of with direction to release admitted liability within six months from today along with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills. It is made clear that if payment is not released within aforesaid period, the rate of interest would be 9% from the expiry of said period. 6.
