(Oral) The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the advertisement 201/2023 to 246/2023 dated 01.02.2023, qua the post of Assistant Security Officer; and a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote one of the petitioners to the post of Assistant Security Officer on the basis of seniority-cum-merit.

Learned counsel for the University contends that the impugned advertisement has already been withdrawn by the University and vide office order, dated 09.09.2024, a Committee has been constituted to frame a promotion policy for security staff. The petitioners' case for promotion will be considered as per their entitlement in terms of the policy to be framed. 3.

In view of statement made, learned counsel for the petitioners has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof. 4.
