Learned counsel for the appellants states that the promotion being sought by the respondent was to the post of Assistant Lineman. However, as per the instructions from Sh. Abhishek, Clerk in the O/o PSPCL, Anandpur Division, learned counsel for the appellants states that the respondent was given promotion to the post of Assistant Lineman on 13.07.1999 and now he has since retired on 31.05.2020. Since respondent was promoted subsequently to the post of Assistant Lineman, nothing survives in the present appeal.

In view thereof, the present appeal is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous with liberty to revive in case anything survives in the matter.
