Ms. Samridhi Sareen, Advocate, who is appointed as legal aid counsel by this Court vide order dated 27.11.2025 informs this Court that Inderjit Singh Buttar - respondent No.2/complainant has passed away on 01.11.2024 and she had a word with the legal representatives of deceasedcomplainant and she has been informed by the legal heirs that they do not intend to pursue the complaint any further.

Taking into consideration the fact that LRs of deceased complainant are not interested in pursuing the present lis any further and taking note of provisions of under Section 256 Cr.PC (Section 279 BNSS), I deem it appropriate to allow the present petition. The criminal complaint bearing No.23 dated 01.05.2009 titled as "Inderjit Singh Buttar vs. Gurminder Singh Sidhu", along with all other consequential proceedings arising therefrom is quashed.
