Prayer in the present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to issue Bhim Award and cash award to the petitioner under the Cash Award Policies dated 19.11.2018 and 07.09.2018. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner refers to the written statement filed on behalf of respondents No. 1 and 2, wherein it has been averred that the claim of the petitioner with regard to Bhim Award has been considered whereas for cash award, as claimed, could not be considered on account of registration of criminal case bearing FIR No. 198 of 2016, under Sections 376/328 IPC, registered at Police Station, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi and a case under Sections 323/504/506 IPC, registered at Police Station, Pune (Maharashtra) and under the guidelines issued by the State Government vide order dated 19.11.2018 (Annexure P-4), the Selection Committee could not recommend the name of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has since been acquitted in FIR No. 198 of 2016, under Sections 376/328 IPC, registered at Police Station, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi, vide judgment dated 23.04.2024 and so far as another criminal case is concerned, the same has already been quashed. He also prayed that the case of the petitioner should be considered and an appropriate decision for entitlement of cash award to the petitioner, as per applicable policy should be taken. 4.

Learned State counsel submits that in the event, the petitioner submits the requisite proof within a period of 02 months with regard to his acquittal in case bearing FIR No. 198 of 2016, under Sections 376/328 IPC, registered at Police Station, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi as well as cancellation in other aforesaid criminal case, they shall consider the same and take a fresh decision thereon within a period of 03 months thereafter. 5.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
