'( '*0 %1'% * 2 3 45 2526 * * * * Present : Mr. Rahul Sharma, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Deep Singh, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. The instant petition is for quashing of FIR No.19 dated 27.03.2014 registered under Sections 307, 355, 188, 506, 34 IPC and Section 27 of Arms Act at Police Station Sadar Faridkot, District Faridkot and the consequent proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of written compromise (Annexure P62) arrived at between the parties.
Report has been received from learned ACJM, Faridkot after statements of the parties were recorded regarding the compromise. Learned ACJM has reported that the compromise is genuine, voluntary and without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence and has been effected between the parties with their free will and consent. Learned ACJM has also sent copy of the statements of parties.

Learned counsel for the State on instructions submits that the cancellation report was filed but the same has not been accepted. He further submits that the petitioners are the only accused and respondent no.2 is the only aggrieved person in this FIR. No useful purpose would be served to keep the FIR pending.
In view of the statements and report of the trial Court and the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in

, the instant petition is allowed and the aforesaid FIR and all consequent proceedings conducted on the basis thereof are quashed. Needless to say that parties shall remain bound by the terms of compromise and their statements made in the Court below.
