The petitioner has approached this Court seeking writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the retiral benefits along with interest.

Learned counsel for the respondent-Corporation on instructions submits that the leave encashment will be paid within a period of two weeks from today. The amount of GPF is under calculation and shall be paid within a period of eight weeks and whatever is required to be done on behalf of the corporation for the payment of GPF would be effected within a period of four weeks thereafter.

Keeping in view the delay in releasing of piece payments respondents are directed to pay interest at the rate of 8% per annum calculated for the period commencing from 01.02.2023 till the date of actual realization. It has been further stated by the counsel representing the Corporation that the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner would be concluded within a period of 30 days.

In view of the above nothing survives in the present writ petition. The same is disposed off in view of the statement made by learned counsel representing the Corporation.
