The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 26.11.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-34906-2025.

On 16.03.2026, the Manager, Punjab National Bank, Ferozepur, was directed to remain present before this Court and the matter was adjourned to 19.03.2026. Since, on 19.03.2026, the Manager, Punjab National Bank, Ferozepur, did not appear, a show cause notice was issued to him as to why contempt proceedings be not initiated against him for noncompliance of order dated 16.03.2026 passed by this Court. Today, Mr. Ashwani Garg, Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Ferozepur, has put in appearance and explained that he could not appear before this Court on 19.03.2026 as he was making efforts to comply with the order dated 26.11.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-34906-2025. 4.

Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Advocate, has put in appearance and filed her Power of Attorney on behalf of respondents No.3 and 4. She submits that order dated 26.11.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-34906-2025 has been complied with.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the same. 6.

In view of the above, since order dated 26.11.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-34906-2025, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 7.

In view of the explanation furnished by Mr. Ashwani Garg, Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Ferozepur, which is found to be satisfactory, no further action is required to be taken pursuant to the show cause notice issued to him.
