RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Reply by way of affidavit of Ashwani Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Baba Bakala Sahib, District Amritsar (Rural), on behalf of the State of Punjab, filed in Court today is taken on record.

Through this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.54 dated 20.04.2018 registered under section 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Beas, District Amritsar. Allegation against the petitioner is that he tried to get registered a transfer deed by showing the presence of a fake person namely, Gurpreet Singh as Jagpreet Singh before the Sub Registrar, Baba Bakala, illegally transferring valuable land of Jagpreet Singh, taking advantage of his absence as he was abroad at the relevant time.
