The petitioner vide this petition has sought protection of his life and liberty from respondents no. 4 to 7. Respondent no. 4 is none other than son of petitioner.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurdev Singh submits that on enquriy no threat to life and liberty of the petitioner was found. In fact a civil litigation is pending between father and the son and this petition is outcome of that litigation.

In view of submission of learned State counsel and without expressing any opinion on merit of the case, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala, District Gurdaspur to take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order, as and when threat to life and liberty of petitioner is apprehended.
