Present contempt petition has been filed under Article 215 of the Constitution of India read with Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiating proceedings against the respondent for alleged wilful non-compliance of order dated 12.09.2023 passed by this Court in CWP-20188 of 2023 wherein respondents were directed to consider the claim of the petitioner within six weeks. The operative part of the order is extracted hereunder:- "XX XX XX XX 4.
Learned State counsel contends that the fresh claim so raised by the petitioner will be considered on the basis of original or photostat copies of the bills as may be submitted along with the claim, and appropriate decision ARCHANA ARORA 2025.03.20 17:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
COCP- 1273 of 2025 thereupon shall be taken within a period of six weeks from receiving the same.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof."

Respondents having failed to do the needful, compelled the petitioner to invoke the contempt jurisdiction. Upon advance notice, learned State counsel informs that financial approval with respect to the release of medical reimbursement in favour of the petitioner to the extent of Rs.63,320/- has been sanctioned vide communication dated 11.02.2025 and the necessary payment shall be released to him within a period of two weeks from today. 3.
In view of the aforesaid stand of respondents, no further directions are required to be passed. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of.

Rule stands discharged.

In case the medical reimbursement benefits payable to the petitioner as per the aforesaid undertaking are not released within the stipulated period, the petitioner shall be at liberty to seek revival in accordance with law.
