State of Punjab and another .............Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.GS Sandhu,Advocate for the petitioner Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) The complainant-Corporation has approached this Court under Section 482 Cr.PC for issuance of directions to the learned Additional Sessions Judge,Fatehgarh Sahib to decide the application for cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Gian Singh son of Balbeet Singh-respondent no.2 in FIR No.64 dated 2.10.2014 under Sections 406,420, 120-B IPC, registered at PS Badli Ala Singh,Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib vide order dated 11.12.2014(P-1). It is contended that vide order dated 11.12.2014(P-1) anticipatory bail granted to respondent no.2 was made absolute in view of Gian Singh-respondent no.2 having paid the outstanding amount to the tune of Rs.84,94,337/- by way of cheque.

Since subsequently the cheque was dishonoured and the complainant was constrained to proceed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, an RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2015.08.10 18:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh.

CRM-M 26333/2015 application for cancellation of bail secured on mis-representation was filed in March 2015.

Grievance of the petitioner is that in the said application several adjournments have been extended for one reason or the other and therefore, prayer for directions.

After hearing counsel for the petitioner, in the facts of the case, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to learned Additional Sessions Judge,Fatehgarh Sahib to consider and decide the said application for cancellation of bail in an expeditious manner. Disposed of.
