A perusal of the case file shows that none has appeared on behalf of the appellant after the admission of the present appeal. Today also, the position remains the same. It appears that the appellant is not interested in pursuing the present appeal.

 In view of the above and considering the fact that the present appeal pertains to the year 1997, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. Accordingly, the present appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution, with liberty to the appellant to seek revival of the same, if so advised, as per law.
