Mr. Rajat Gautam, Advocate, for the petitioner. **** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Petitioner is seeking transfer of criminal case arising out of FIR No.248 dated 24.05.2016, registered at Police Station Thanesar Sadar, Under Sections 307, 498A and 34 IPC, pending in the Court at Kurukshetra to any other Court of competent jurisdiction at Karnal. The grievance of the petitioner is that the family members of her husband will harass her if she goes to Kurukshetra to attend the Court proceedings.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, going through the record, it has been transpired that it is not the case of the petitioner that whether the fair investigation has not been carried out by the police in the above-said case or any threat has been received by her. She has only an apprehension of danger to her life. The above-said case is at the stage of trial. Therefore, the present petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra, for seeking protection of her life and liberty.
