(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed for directing official respondents No.1 to 6 not to hold repeated inquiries as the utilization certificates, Annexures P-1 to P-22 for spending of the grant by the Gram Panchayat village Dalam, which grants were also received under 14th & 15th Finance Commission and after the notice physical verifications of the work and respondent No.7 is trying to create new evidences so as to book the petitioner in false proceedings under Section 216 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act and to unable the petitioner to stand for further elections, which are due since January, 2024. The precise grievance raised by learned counsel for the petitioner is that in pursuance to the order passed by this Court dated 14.03.2024 in CWP No.4453 of 2024 filed by respondent No.7, enquiry is being conducted against the petitioner.

CWP No.7143 of 2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:041984 However, on perusal of the order, it is clear that this Court had given a direction to the Joint Director, Department of Rural Development & Panchayats, Punjab to proceed with the inquiry within two months.

In view of the above position, the present petition is disposed of. If the petitioner has any grievance against the enquiry etc., he is at liberty to avail his alternative remedy as available to him in accordance with law.
