Learned counsel for the State has filed reply dated 24.01.2017 by way of affidavit of Mr. Waryam Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police Zira, District Ferozepur in Court today. Same is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

Reference is made to Inquiry Report dated 19.08.2016 wherein it has been mentioned that the dispute between the parties has been settled. A perusal of the order sheets reveals that on the last three occasions there has been no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Today also, despite the matter having been called twice, none appears on behalf of the petitioner. It appears that due to the settlement arrived at between the parties, the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing this petition. Dismissed for non-prosecution.
